It is a long stud (2x4) the height of the ceiling, with a 3 foot piece of scrap 2x4 nailed to the top of it to form a T-shape. You wedge it into place in the spot where you are supposed to hold the dry wall to the ceiling. This will save your arms and in turn save your momma sanity. Save the parts of this T because you can use it to hold entire sheets of dry wall up to the wall while it is nailed in place.
