We just returned from a 12 day trip from none other than ALABAMA! We had a little reunion or sorts with Kody's family and siblings and got to spend a week at an awesome lake house in Cullman. The kids got to swim, jet ski, go tubing and throw an endless supply of rocks into the lake. We all had a great time and miss everyone already. In Alabama's defense none of us sustained one bug bite, sunburn or suffered from 150% humidity spells.
Our airplane travel left something to be desired (what else is new, right?). And before you start saying, "blah blah blah, you guys get to fly practically for free, stop complaining," let me just leave you with this: Getting from Alabama to California took 4 (count 'em!) FOUR airplanes and 20 hours. We had to fly from Birmingham to Atlanta to Memphis to Salt Lake City and finally to Orange County. Kody was working so luckily his mom came along with me to help with the kids and I was SO GRATEFUL after that nightmare of a day! I'll laugh about it later, I'm sure.
the boys attempted to get this to work so we could have couples time trials, thankfully, I mean, unfortunately it didn't always cooperate so they invested their energy in fishing instead.

Looks like you guys had a great time! Do you remember when flying meant grabbing a snack and the latest People magazine?
Wow! That looks like an awesome trip. I'm so glad you all were able to visit Grandma & Grandpa at the same time.
